You might be wondering why I refer to myself as The Empress Of TradeMarks?

Well, if that is the case, do let me shed some light:

People used to refer to me as The Trademark Queen! And me being me I had to then go and search various trademark databases!

The result was that someone in America has registered Trademark Queen - with a caveat that Queen is generic.

I then decided that I like the sound of Empress quite a lot. I am never going to try to register that as a trademark, because Empress IS generic. Then again, me being me, I would actually know how to make it registrable as a trademark 💡

It turns out that some of my Swedish relatives who, back in the day, were at the court of the Austrian Emperor and Empress. The female part of the couple was so well liked by the Austrian Empress, that at one point as she had been invited to a ball given by the Empress, she had a lovely gown to wear and met the Empress, coming towards the ball, saying something like look I have this lovely gown and no jewels. The Empress then took off some of her jewels and gave them to my ancestor.

I wasn’t even aware of this background story of mine when I went with Empress Of TradeMarks.

As you might imagine I am mightily proud of my Swedish heritage. It’s not a noble family with loads of land and stuff, although we do have a beautiful summerhouse in Sweden, it’s »just« a noble family. Their name is Munck af Rosenshöld. I don’t expect you to be able to pronounce that. Actually Munck is the Swedish version of Munk, which is Danish and my Swedish relatives can then be traced back to Denmark.
